Maybe you were in school with your first crush, and the experience was romantic. Maybe you were leaving for college, and your father hugged you tightly to show that he'd miss you. Or maybe your grandchild was excited to spend time with you and let you know how she felt.
We have all known the exuberance and energy that comes from feeling loved. It doesn't have to be romantic love—feeling warmth from a friend or family member is equally as powerful to your physiology.
